Of a colony: unbranched colonies with a broad distal part on a distinctly narrower stalk.
Of a tentacle or nematophore, having a distinct, swollen terminal region. This region is typically a small spherical structure about 2-4 times the diameter of the tentacle or nematophore below. It bears many nematocysts typically of a kind different from those in most of the rest of the colony, and is presumed defensive.
