Type species: Podabacia crustacea (Pallas, 1766)

Characteristics: Corals zooxanthellate, polystomatous (with multiple mouths), round, attached by stalk. Wall perforated. Septal teeth fine and lobate, costal spines small and slightly echinose. Colour cream or brown.
Ecology: Most common on reef slopes.
Range: Indo-West Pacific.
Additional remarks: A new, not yet described species has only been observed in western Indonesia.
