Description Colonies arborescent, with a long stalk which distally divides into cauliflower-like umbellate branches. Polyps grouped in umbels at the ends of the branches; supporting bundle weakly developed or absent. Surface layer of base of stalk with capstans, derivations of capstans, and spindles. In interior sclerites are few in number or absent. Colour of colonies pinkish, reddish. Zooxanthellae absent.
Habitat: Deeper water.
Range: Widespread in tropical Indo-Pacific.
