Description: Small bushy colonies with long primary polyps producing many secondary polyps.by lateral budding. Polyps retractile. Sclerites are oval spindles and irregular shaped forms which may be branched and fused in clumps. Colour of colonies reddish, pink. Zooxanthellae absent.
Habitat: below 15 m.
Range: Indo-Pacific.
Remarks: Can be confused with withish Carijoa species overgrown by coloured sponge.
