Description: Unbranched, occasionally weakly subdivided colonies. Consisting of a bare stalk and a hemispherical dome-shaped, digitiform, or compressed lobate polyparium. Polyps retractile in calyces. Sclerites are spindles. Zooxanthellae absent.
Habitat: Deeper water and in shady regions on the reef.
Range: Atlantic and Indo-Pacific.
