Genera: One genus is found in the shallow waters of the Indo-West Pacific:
Genus Studeriotes Studeriotes (1).
Description: Colonies with upper lobate part that is retractable into the cup-like lower part of the colony.
Note: It is not clear to us who introduced this family name. I found it for the first time in Bayer, 1981.
