Type species: Anthelia glauca Lamarck, 1816

Total number of species estimated: 10.

Description: Colonies forming soft spreading membranes from which the polyps arise. Polyps not retractile, monomorphic. Colour of colonies white, gray, brown. Sclerites are flattened rods, about 3-8 times as long as broad. Zooxanthellae present.

Habitat: Shallow lagoon and back reef, in places with strong currents.

Range: Tropical Indo-Pacific.

Remarks: Species can be similar to those of the genus Clavularia.
