Characteristics: Corals zooxanthellate, polystomatous (with multiple mouths), round, attached by stalk or encrusting. Stalked specimens may get undulating margin if they grow large. Wall not perforated. Septal teeth and costal spines fine and granular. Colour oker, cream or brown..
Ecology: On lower reef slopes.
Range: Central Indo-Pacific and West Pacific.
Additional remarks: One species, L. undulatum Rehberg, 1892, is stalked; the, L. mokai Hoeksema, 1989, is encrusting with much smaller maximum size 13 cm and stomata closer to each other.
