Description: Colonies arborescent with branched polyparium; flabby. Polyps arranged in catkins on the terminal branches only, not retractile, without supporting bundle. Sclerites are spindles and unilateral spinose spindles; surface layer of base of stalk also with capstans and derivations of capstans. Colour of colonies whitish, pink, brownish. Zooxanthellae present.
Habitat: Shallow water.
Range: Widespread in tropical Indo-Pacific.
